mcdonald’s, the world’s largest and most popular fast-food chain announced that it will launch its own tv channel called the mcdonald’s channel - the channel will be an in-restaurant broadcast which will present programming for specific communities.

the programming will be recycled each hour - eight minutes of each hour will be commercials, and only 90 seconds of that time will be ads for mcdonald’s.

the mcdonald’s channel will begin in 800 mcdonald’s locations in california, if successful, the channel is expected to expand to other locations nationwide - but for those who want peace of mind, there will also be "quiet zones" designated for people who do not wish to see or hear the broadcast.

dr essam hajji, a scientist at nasa has announced the launch of the first kuwaiti scientific satellite at a cost of 167 million $ - the satellite will basically be looking for underground water in the deserts of kuwait and around the world for that matter – it will also be studying the impact of weather changes on the arctic ice - according to dr hajji in the above cnn report, this is the same technology that has been used to locate underwater ice on mars.

hajji also declared that a successful test has been achieved locating underground water at a depth between 20 & 60 meters - this test has been conducted in collaboration with the ministry of interior who provided the plane & pilots.
