Blame it on black magic!

i received an interesting query from sarah asking about he secret behind the proliferation of black magic stories in kuwait – she actually read one more story in arab times about a guy who raped a women using black magic to lure his victim to meet him.

sarah was wondering why can't the paper say the guy was a pervert and lured women on the internet to have sex with him and drop the magic part?

sarah seems to be as skeptical as me - there is no such thing as black magic, there are only bad people and desperate ones - unfortunately bad people use black magic as bait to attract the desperate into their traps.

the solution is for people to stop seeking sorcerers advice, they can’t help and they don’t even know what they are doing, these are charlatans and should be put behind bars.

thanks sarah for raising this subject.

I have read these snipits of sorcery claims for years in the Kuwait crime section of the newspaper. In my mind when you talk about sorcery, I conjures up images of witches and goblins to me, but I suspect from this pattern of crimes in Kuwait that the word socery is being misused in some cases. Does a Kuwaiti women loose less face if she is lured over the internet by a man who claims that he is going to solve her problems with her ex by saying he is a sorcerer? Are the Kuwaiti kids that are running around looped in the backyard under the influence of some black magic (that also was printed in the paper)? Really? I'm not buying all this black magic in Kuwait. I have travelled to Morroco where I can tell you that there are people who say they are socerers with real powers, but in these crime incidents in Kuwait, I think that they are using the word socerer loosely and it is just an excuse for perverts to gain power over their victims or for someone to not look so foolish in front of the family.

I think that magic only works for those who believe in it like voodoo, but black magic isn't a religion and if we are true believers in our own religion we know that it's fobidden to do any kind of black magic. So blaming it on a djin or magic is a cheap, low act that works only for simple minds..

There is such a thing as magic … go to Oman and enjoy if you want.

As for this post i remember reading about a woman who had money taken from her magically. It is true than magic isn't the true magic that they are talking about. Anyways don't believe everything yoou read in the newspaper or you'll go crazy :p

It seems to me that the number of people who believe in, try to use, or practice black magic and witchcraft is growing very rapidly.

Probably down to Tv programs like Buffy.
