It ticked alot of boxes! But the management team was not the correct team. Also, where they failed was how they marketed the airline. They should have marketed the terminal, along with the carrier. They should have marketed the carrier as a new beginning for Kuwait. I remember watching the owner (name noted below) who was at Sheikh Saad Terminal to meet a beautiful Lebanese celebrity come off a Wataniya flight. It could have welcomed a new era for Kuwait and the government failed to recognize this fact, because Wataniya bailed out the government's failure to address the Kuwait airline market which continues to operate at failure level. It could have jumpstarted a new image for the country.

working for them was awesome, i can tell from their staff, if it comes back the majority will join again - they were so passionate about their brand, the product and the service it was an amazing team - and though some of the brits were accused of mismanagement, i believe they were successful on the brand image level - the kuwaiti in charge was abdulsalam albahar, and he left too!

Well I think these people should persevere and make the legal system in Kuwait work for them if possible. If not for the money, for the statement. The airline handled the breakdown of this carrier very poorly. It exhibited their lack of experience and their devotion to the success of the carrier and an important aspect to the success of any carrier is it's people.

con't. I still have their tags on my luggage and I refuse to remove them. I contend that another discount carrier is needed in Kuwait to fill the gap - Jazeera just doesn't cut it. Same old bad managment, run down planes, but at least it flies into Terminal 1 in Dubai, so I put up with them. With the failure of KA and the poor conditions that Jazeera is flying, I think that another discount carrier is needed. I miss them immensely and I curse this nation everyday for letting it fail. Damn you Kuwait!

Not the British guy, the Kuwaiti guy, (forgot his name) -they were responsible for the demise of Wataniya. Personally just talking about Wataniya hurts me, I really loved that carrier, not sure how it was to work for them, but to fly with them to Dubai was so civil. I didn't have to go through KIA and even when I flew overseas on long distance journeys, I would take Wataniya to Dubai, then pick up my onward journey from Dubai. I saw companies bringing new employees from Dubai because it landed at Sheikh Saad terminal and the impression of this country was not so alarming. I spoke to exec's that were elated because they could by-pass KIA and proceed out of Kuwait in a more civil manner. I keep using the word civil because it was A MOMENT OF CIVILITY in this nation!
