also please read what teh guy said:

"There's no confirmation it was a fault with the phone. It may actually have been caused by a combination of my car mount and my car's heating system," he added.

I was going to defend the SIII arguing that this has happened occasionally on Apple devices, especially iPhones. But bob got me covered lol

I don't see Samsung as the faulty copy cats, I mean did Mercedes invent the car, or did Sony invent the television. They didn't, but their popular for making the best. That's where Samsung comes in with mobile devices today arguably challenging Apple. Steve has said and I quote "We have always been shameless about stealing great ideas". You can find the interview on YouTube.

looool, i knew this is gonna bite me in the a**

i am aware of all these stories, i read most of them… regardless.. it gives me the greatest pleasure to see the s3 exploding…

    7. 965malls says:

smart people copy, geniuses steal :)

    8. Fkwt&Rm says:

Challenging Apple… hmmm i dont think Samsung is in da race even… by launching 3-6 models in a year's time & getting sales chart to the highest cant make Samsung da best…

      Long Live The Iphone :D

    9. Kuwaitiful says:

Which doesn't make it any better ethically does it. What I'm trying to say is there all the same when it comes to copying ideas, be it Android, iOS or even Nokia. iOS has copied loads of stuff off Android the moment it became popular. It's all about perception.

    10. 965malls says:

By the way Pat, when I posted the first story, I had a long discussion with Frankom who unfortunately is an S3 fan too, so I asked him what do you like about Samsung? He spoke Abou the phone for a while praising it, then I brought the discussion back to the brand and this is when he told me “man, Samsung is a huge company, they make Fridges, and all kind if white goods electronics” – my answer to that was “good for you, you’re holding a phone that has a fridge as ancestor”

So good for all of you guys, you’ve got something that will make grandma happy :)

    11. 965malls says:

Exactly my point Kuwaitiful, perception is the brand itself!

    12. TKG says:
