Scenes from ’80s malls

i came across these interesting pictures taken back in the 80's in shopping malls across the states - photographer and filmmaker michael galinsky was 20 years old in 1989 when he and a friend decided to spend six weeks driving across the country, capturing images of mall life - they started in new york and ended in north carolina.

this was pre-internet, pre-cellphone and it was this weird moment in time where fashion was in my opinion tasteless & lacking style - look at the mullets, the big hair, acid wash jeans & white socks... kind of funny.

you can see more photos here and if you happen to have pictures from kuwait malls in the 80's please share them with us by emailing

There had been many great movies but this was the one that I will never be able to forget about. I really remember this scene that was the most beautiful scene of this whole movie.
