Wataniya Airways fears law suit agrees to “connect” with staff

wataniya airways seems to be feeling the pressure as it finally agreed to meet with staff representatives to discuss the employees' rights - though the airline always wanted to be "the best connection" - connecting with staff would have never materialized had the employees not unified their efforts and consult a lawyer.

staff representatives voiced their concerns over the company's attitude towards them and put forward their demands - on the other hand, the company seemed to be buying time as it suggested a weekly meeting with the CMD to keep them informed on next steps as nothing will happen before the general assembly meeting that will eventually decide to liquidate the company.

according to the airline's CMD, chances to resume operations are as low as 5%, so why wait for the general assembly meeting? the only update the CMD will bring you guys is the decision to liquidate the airline - my advice to you is not to play that game - obviously wataniya airways is buying time so "strike while the iron is hot".

      Maybe u should get yourself informed, if there is anything that can be done before the general assembly.

      i contacted the ministry of commerce customer protection section for the tickets i reserved two days before the closing , i was surprised from the interest they showed , they took my name and phone number and escalated the problem. they informed again that they will direct me to the required procedure .

      thanks for the info a7la3alam, i face the same problem as I got tickets and i didn't get refund, and no one was replying to any of my mails or calls.

      today customer protection directed me to the airport complain section it is located on the second floor departure zone next to commercial bank

      you need to provide copy of the tickets and civil ID they will register your complain and forward to legal department . they will tell you it may take time

      but i think this is the right way to follow
