in a country where al batrikh copies mcdonald's logo, cnn & virgin brands proudly decorate bakala style stores, fake new york fries everywhere, etc... etc... etc... this comes as no surprise at all! what is annoying though, is the adoption of this bad habit by the young generation which is supposed to lead kuwait into the 21st century!
there's this guy who decided to steal another person's designs, print them on t-shirts, and sell them at a cheaper price in a stand exhibition at kuwait university - it so happened that the guy stole from a famous kuwaiti designer called f2o who registered her brand, as for the copycat he turned out to be simply shameless... he basically admitted his dishonest act and offered f2o a swap! "let them take some of my designs and do the same" he said! that's cheeky!
i believe the root of the problem is much deeper than this, kuwait should start respecting and enforcing intellectual rights, and only then people would learn to follow laws & regulations.
thank you danderma for lobbying against this dishonest guy, we're all behind you.
